Chicago CardThe Chicago card refers to a contactless smart card used by riders of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). They are used to make electronic payment for bus and train in Chicago, Illinois and other surrounding sub urban areas in USA.The Chicago card is a stored value card that is blue in color. If the value is exhausted, it can be added at CTA vending machines. Even several retail stores also offer this service of adding value to the card. The users are required to register with CTA. Replacement of the card is possible incase of loss, theft, damage etc There is also a blue and gold Chicago card plus which is an account based card. These cards are similar to a credit card, debt card or transit card. They are provided as monthly passes and also established as pay per use basis.
