Transaction Processing SystemTransaction processing system refers to an information system that is used to process the data that results out of business transactions. They are used for routine transactions and record -keeping in particular, sales, payroll, reservations worker tracking; shipping etc .The basic principles of transaction processing is common to all systems. However the terminologies may differ from one system to another.In the computer science parlance, transaction processing refers to the information processing which is divided into individual, indivisible operations known as transactions. Each transaction should either succeed or fail as a complete unit. But it should not remain anywhere in between these two or in an intermediate state. Transaction processing is intended to maintain a database in a known and consistent state. Most important of all, the operations carried out on the database should either be successful or unsuccessful. It should not be in an intermediate state.
