Small Business Transaction Processing Environments

The first environment in the small business transaction processing world is the planning environment. This is where the business is actually planning how their transaction processing is going to work.
The database handles few transactions, but they are relatively long, and lend themselves to price checking, forecasting, and developing business rule configuration. Once this is set, the environment moves on to the next steps

The doing environments are where the operations of transactions actually occur. These are the online transaction processing procedures and the call processing as well. These environments will handle high volumes of transactions. Call centers and customer help lines are usually types of doing environments.

The checking environment is the environment where queries can be made to the company. This tends to be a series of relational, not object, databases, since there are an unpredictable set of queries that can be made.

Finally, the acting environment is where the business actually occurs. The first three environments teach us how to set up our acting environment. The acting environment should be flexible enough to respond when there are changing conditions in the target market of the business.

Innoverse Architecture

In a traditional database, if a transaction is completed properly, it is committed to the database, but if it is not completed properly, it must start over. This can be excessively frustrating in the business transaction world, so innoverse architecture helps with conceptualizing the business transaction processing procedure. The innoverse architecture scheme is a seven-layer process. The first layer is the business process layer. This is where the operational and strategic process es of the business are defined. Then is the user conceptual model, which is where the business maps out who is doing what roles within the business, as well as the operational characteristics of the business activities .

Once that is done, the process moves to the external interface. This is where the transaction processing environments come into play. Each framework, or environment, solves one part of the complexities that are part of processing the transaction. From there, the business model is developed. Two questions are answered by the business model. First, what are the objects used in the business, and second, what are their responsibilities?

The schema layer of the model is the structure of the business objects. This is where data is typed and distributed. The persistence layer is where the database management systems store the data. Finally, the technical infrastructure layer is where the operating system is networked, and printing occurs.

Using the innoverse architectural la yers to process business transactions eliminates the problem of having to start completely over when a problem occurs. Instead, the transaction can return to the layer below its current location, and start fresh at t he point where the error occurred. This saves time and frustration on the part of the business owner.

Small business transaction processing has come a long way in recent years, due to the advent of the computer age. Now, business transaction processing can occur at a moment's notice, without the need for confusing and complicated processes that it would take a scientist to understand!
