TNS announces deals with EPX and KMEFICTransaction Network Services has announced two deals; one with Electronic Payment Exchange (EPX) and another with Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment Company (KMEFIC).The agreement between TNS and EPX will be in place for three years, during which time TNS will provide network services for EPX. The services provided by by TNS will be transaction transport services for merchant transactions. EPX is a payment processing company. It provides services that enable businesses to accept different payment methods, such as credit cards, debit cards and electronic check payments. TNS provides point-of-sale transaction processing networking and is a leader in its field. In the US, its networks provide transport to payment processors. TNS' services and network infrastructure will enable EPX to focus on growing and maintaining their merchant business. This business involves Straight Through Processing, a system that solves problems related to multiple vendor payment processing and that provides merchants with efficiencies. They have an end-to-end solution, which reduces the costs for merchants, by getting rid of third-party gateway fees and increasing speed and efficiency. COO of EPX, Matt Ornce, says TNS has a secure and trustworthy communication network that will ensure the quality services provided by EPX are continued to be provided to clients. Heidi Goff, from TNS, says that TNS will give EPX reach, flexibility and security. The deal between TNS and KMEFIC will make it easier for KMEFIC to deal with world markets and will enable traders to establish direct links with financial markets in the Gulf. KMEFIC has set up a new FIX Gateway service. This service provides direct market access to exchanges in the Gulf, including Kuwait, Dubai, Muscat and Bahrain. The trades are conveyed through a secure connection into the Secure Trading Extranet of TNS. TNS customers will be able to accesss the KMEFIC FIX Gateway, provided they are already linked up to the TNS extranet. |
